Yes that's right Andy from what I understand too. But I bet it won't be long before other mobiles supporting this type of flash with the Symbian operating system will be available to at least provide the end user with some choice. If what the software developers are saying is true, it would have to be future proof for a wider selection of phones. They are supposedly chucking a lot of dosh at developing the software, and with what they are charging for it, they must expect to be doing more with other phones or else it'll be defunct in no time.

It's the K-NFB software that I think is extortionate, not the phone or TALKS. For me, the ability TALKS gives us to do what we can with a mobile is worth every penny frankly. But while the K-NFB software is designed to be portably accessed, it is a lot of money, both over there and here.

I'm really curious to see how the Reader and the phone compare as two different animals. What would happen, for example, if you were using the phone to read a document with the K-NFB software, and you got a text, or someone rang you. Yes it's very interesting from a usability sense.

Jackie and Terry -

It is certain to work on future models, but they will have to be equipped
with the xenon flash, which as I understand it, the n95 isn't, so the
software won't be backwards compatible as it can't be really. From what I've
heard, I understand it could actually be used on the N95, but it wouldn't
function as reliably because the N95 uses the led flash, and not the xenon
flash. Hope I've got that right <smile> -

Andy

| Hi Terry
|
| I would be prepared to bet it will be available on other phones at some
| point, it's inevitable I suppose. Let's face it, the company producing
this
| software aren't just going to target a phone that will be out of the
mobile
| chart within three to six months are they?
|
| I haven't heard the N82 yet, so couldn't say whether it is better in sound
| to the N95.
