Hi, I'm realising just how lucky I've struck with PC World over here. But, try telling most chains and/or smaller System Builders about a Screen Reader and see what happens. My PC World actually let me install Window Eyes on one of their laptops in store! I said I wanted to makesure the video card wasnt' going to bomb like it did on the one I'd just brought back. It wasn't any problem whatsoever. Cheers, Barry.-----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Kevin Cussick Sent: Friday, June 17, 2011 5:39 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Zoostorm pc Agreed it would seem that now that this has been raised most of us have had bad experiences with PC world. Try and tell them about screen readers and see what happens. How do you get the machine back to them? probably you paying, you finding a large enough box, you making sure it's boxed securely and doesn't' get damaged in transit. The company will ship it back to you in 1to2 working weeks. I know the machines from these companies that deal exclusivelyonlineare very attractive with their specs but that's only one part ofthe"New computer hunt process". Have you considered PC World? It's very very hard to beat their specs, (if you shop around), especially when you combine that with their after-sales-support. They'll either send an engineer to your house, Parcel Force to pick the unit up, or if you live closeenoughyou can offer to bring it to the Tech Guys in-store. The max turn-around I've had for a Motherboard replacement on a Desktop was3days, from drop off to pick-up. My local PC World is very good at support. BTW. I would not buy components/peripherals from PC World as the retail price is too high. I treat these like convenience items, in say a local Spar.
