Hummmm Ok so the first part of the contest revolves around qualifying
for the launch license. To me this looks like a challenge to get a
launch license for a $400k prize.
That's quite interesting.
The biggest barrier there seems to be the ability to show finical
responsibility for the launch.
This would be a good contest for a orbital launcher start up that could
make it to that point and do something with $400k prior to the first
launch and perhaps a sponsor or 2.
This is exactly the kind of contest that is needed! That will teach
teams the real meaning of of infrastructure prior to a launch.
Every space start up should be in this contest! You don't have a hair on
your ass if you don't enter this contest.
