How would one quantize sensitivity of a cryogenic liquid? Some sort of insulated piston and cylinder with a calibrated drop weight, similar to a card test?

I believe ALASA was running their nitrous/acetylene mix at about -50_degC, which isn't really all that cryogenic. Should be feasible with an ordinary card-gap apparatus and a big walk-in freezer set really low. :-) Or just take the thing to Alaska in January. (More-accessible places like Saskatoon do get down to -50 at times in the more severe winters -- been there, done that, happy not to do it again -- but it's less predictable.)

The trickiest bit would be not the temperature, but loading a card-gap tester with a liquid that you'd prefer to mix up only by remote control. Might need a bit of development work for a tester with automated loading. (Although quite possibly someone's already done it...)
