That may be true of some of their apps, but have you actually tested their navigation app? If you haven't tried their navigation app then isn't it quite unfair to shoot it down without first-hand knowledge of it's level of accessibility? The Google Chrome app is nearly impossible to use with the voice synthesizer. Their Google glass only works for the ride I sorry if you don't have a right eye. I was originally planning to use Google Maps in BlindSquare, but their license explicitly says it is not allowed to be used in apps like this. I tried to contact Google, but it is very hard to get to contact with them, even I have some business channels there. So, as a built in map data source, I don't see Google Maps as an option. They don't have API to get street data in vector form which is often needed in apps like this. What they provide is map in graphical form which is not very useful). Yes, they have possibility to do route plan and search for POI, but for BlindSquare it is not enough (+there is this license issue). So, for this reason, Google Maps is provided only as 3rd party route planning and more detailed map data is coming from OpenStreetMap and Apple Maps. I'm sorry, but for almost real time updated map info google maps will be your best way to go verses tom tom and map quest. brandonTo change your email settings (unsubscribe, digest only, or vacation mode): http://senderogroup.com/social_media/email.htm Additionally, to unsubscribe send an email to gps-talkusers-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe" in the Subject.
