Greets!

I'm fairly good at C.. but not that good... I want to start looking at
the kernel code and try and understand things.

So, what do I do to upgrade my skills? Any specific book I can follow?

my suggestion
download kernel source from kernel.org and hack around and thats way
to learn stuff
also there are some sites
http://kernelnewbies.org/  which will explain basic things

to know more,
http://www.google.co.in/search?q=kernel&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:unofficial
