[Ilugc] A good 'C' book?

Yes. He starts with void main (void) { ... }, tells the readers that
conio.h is someone one should expect on all platforms, and that NEAR
and FAR pointers are part of standard C. And that is just the
beginning.
Wow! Great! Reminds me of one fat yellow demi-sized indian-authored
book on C (don't remember author/title, but I guess it is still
popular), which used to be "recommended" by many schools. (Was
fortunate enought not to be one of those schools, but had heard many
of my friends at schools referring me to it)... Had a hearty laugh
when I chanced across that book sometime back, what with huge detailed
sections on "screen programming", "dos interrupts" etc. Was a
revelation to me that this was a part of a C primer book :p
Well, too much of a digression, but on a related note... Just happened
to visit Anna University sometime back for a competition, and was
taken aback to find the old DOS based Borland C still being used.
Well, atleast VC is a bit tolerable, but having had the misfortune of
using it in my school days, that thing is a menace!
