If i remember correctly foss.in is in the first week of december. The
conference can be in the 3rd week of december.
lets give more weight to "what's gonna happen in conference?"
then we can come up with date. because content matters.
conference usually has the following
1. sessions
2. hands on demo
3. contests
4....
what do we do for the content? what the ultimate goal for the conference?
lets not say "creating awareness of FOSS". that is the ultimate goal we need
to reach. how do we achieve that goal by conducting this conference?
my suggestions
1. invite government of tamil nadu for the conference to let them know more
about FOSS influence in it
2. invite various schools and colleges to participate in it and get
benefited
3. distribute as much as FOSS packed cd-roms/dvd to the general public.
4. entry fee should not be there :-)
5. call major FOSS contributor across tamil nadu and india to speak about
their projects.
