A generic name would be better which can be used over the years since
(I think) this is not going to be a one-off conference
How about 'FreeMinds 08' ? Has an intrigue value that might make even non
geeks (but with a sense of liberty) take a look!! Or is it too generic?
How about having a conference name without the words "free", "FOSS",
"GNU" ? Enough of (un) conferences are happing in India with word
Free/FOSS . Organizers should try an avoid using these commodity words
but at the same time come up with a name which is
a) simple ( we dont like Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious names)
b) makes some sense ( no weird acronyms or remixed words please,
FOSSCHE will not make sense to any newbie)
c) Preferably newbies/end users should be able to associate herself
with the name (read "branding")
Also, having a mascot for the conference will be cool.
