Oh noes, you make me out to be a total Ruby fanboy ;-). Sure it's a
sweet language, but I also mess with others like Lisp and Erlang just to
keep perspective. Actually, there's an introductory Erlang talk by me in
the Chennai.rb meetup today.
I have nothing against Python, and probably would suck at the flamefest,
coz I just don't know Python that well. Perhaps somebody who did both
for a while would be better qualified :). But yes, a Ruby sub-conf
sounds nice, because there are already a considerable number of local
companies working on it, and I believe there will be a good turnout.
