the copyright and license terms [a modified cc-by-sa to make it more
flexible] are mentioned in the second comment,
which am sure you will find more agreeable for your event use.
used the same exact license for the freed.in event logo.
however, as always, the event belongs to the community,
so if you wish me to change the license to something even more
suitable, will be happy to do so.
please respond and comment on the logo-design, on this mailing list.
wish the fossconf.in wiki allows uploads of artworks and files with descriptions
so may share the source files with you.
fyi, authored the logo in inkscape, exported as png, and flattened in gimp.
