I understand the left hand was chosen to link this with copyleft,
but I so wish this were the right hand, because an open right hand
signifies somebody who is happy to give.
I have been discussing this with various people, potential patrons
and sponsors. The consensus - and a very strong one - is that the
left hand is considered inauspicious and should be replaced with a
right hand. Secondly red and black is too closely identified with the
Dravidian parties - the whole of Tamilnadu is plastered with red and
black material - and should be avoided. Orange and black would be ok.
So i am a very strong -1 about left hand and red/black combination. I
suggest right hand and orange and black.
