I have been discussing this with various people, potential patrons
and sponsors. The consensus - and a very strong one - is that the
left hand is considered inauspicious and should be replaced with a
Sir, Did you asked the local priest weather the date and time for the
conference is auspicious or not ? Hope you are avoiding Rahu kalam,
Kal Sarp Yoga, Grahana or any other inauspicious timing/symbols etc.
Also, please announce the Shubh Mahurat for delegates, speakers and
volunteers to enter the venue.
It's not just about auspiciousness. We don't shake hands with the left hand,
we don't give with the left hand, etc -- except left-handers, common
practice is to use the right hand!
