Ahem - inauspicious? I personally have no problems with a left or
right hand when it comes to the logo - but I am bothered about the
reasons for choosing it - we are engaged in spreading science,
knowledge and reason - as Vivek points out, whether it has any
religious significance, auspicious/inauspicious ought to be
irrelevant.
Secondly red and black is too closely identified with the
Dravidian parties - the whole of Tamilnadu is plastered with red
and black material - and should be avoided.
Are we starting a political party? If not, why should we bothered?
