I do not know of many 'idiots' that you speak of. Last time I wanted
someone to switch to Linux, he wanted to know if 3D games like Crysis, Half
Life, etc. Some one else had problems with his G-Force graphics card. And
people just want to get stuff done. They don't care about social, political
merits. Not everyone care about philosophy nor is everyone altruistic.
I wonder why we need non-free Microsoft products at all given their

Again, people don't care. Not everyone is us. People have differing
opinions.
