Still i am not clear. I didn't have the option at the installation time

The HCL Report sheet with the pc says that " this machine is loaded with
Red
Hat linux WS3.0"
so, what we have is an authorised software? or a pirated one?


Have you asked HCL regarding this. Why dont you just question them and ask
the same?. Ask whether have they charged for WS3.0 and if yes, ask them the
Cds. This is not a big issue to be dealt if you interact with HCL properly
