Probably, you can start with SICP(google for this term) and understand the
fundamentals of computing. This would take a couple of months to a year. Try
to understand subjects such as computer architecture, networking, data
structures etc also.
Then, take a language such as Python (which has good library support and an
active community) and understand the language and then probably you can move
to webframeworks in that language (like Django).
I might have missed many details in the above , but SICP is pretty good to
start off. The entire flow above will take some time(from a minimum of a
year to a few). Once, the prerequisites are satisfied see the projects in
the community that need volunteers and write some _quality_ code and start
enjoying.
