Hi Geoff,

I had long forgotten INSERT+Z. I keep 'Auto Forms Mode' turned off because
it interferes with my scripts, which often crawl over several edit fields to
get to where I need to go. I did the experiments that you suggested with
turning off the virtual cursor and tabbing to the 'save' button, but nothing
changed. I also played with using the JAWSCursor and InvisibleCursor with
the VertualCursor off, but it didn't help the situation. It was a good
idea.

Thanks,
John

John, just a total far out long shot thought, but have you tried
experimenting with this horrid page, when turning virtual cursor off
totally?
with Jaws+Zed?

particularly where you've got issues of jaws seeming like it's not
recognizing an edit field, either manually or automatically (I presume
you've also tried setting forms mode to manual as well rather than relying
on it's auto-detection algorithm that's been on by default now for some
versions, though I always turn it off and go back to the old manual setting
myself.)
and seeing, for example, whether jaws then happily reads the text in the
edit field with arrows when virtual cursor is off permanently I don't know
how iTunes is done, but it's got this wierd mix of virtual pc being active,
and then places where without telling you it's found a forms mode field with
that auto detection stuff sound thing, so it doesn't know etc, when you flip
virtual PC cursor off with jaws+Zed, then tab to them you can fill them in.
else, it just thinks virtual cursor is still active, and doesn't even except
text input, because it's not recognizing there's a forms mode field there
to, allow, it to switch into?
anyways just wondered if you'd messed with that idea yet.
