Who owns the networks on cable that is producing more new shows (albeit not exactly "24" or "American Idol" in popularity) than the OTA networks. It seems that the cable - production company link is getting stronger as the networks turn to low-cost reality and news programming.

Plus, cable is making inroads into not only the pipe business; but the telephone, Internet, security and in some cases local news business. They are looking to be your one-source entertainment solution.

Google is in the pipe business, slowly and quietly acquiring dark fiber and building out server farms around the USA - making deals for content and advertising pretty much under the radar.
