You ave been digging the hole you are in since you joined this list.
The 85% rule was intentionally vague and open to interpretation. Just
the kind of bureaucratic mumbo-jumbo that the politicians and
regulators thrive upon. It was a holding tactic by the broadcasters.
You fail to recognize and acknowledge the reality that the
broadcasters agreed to the legislation that set the Feb. 17 hard
date. These are the say broadcasters who are now ready to end the
transition and start pocketing the ~$20K per month they are spending
to run those analog transmitters.
Perhaps someone should point out to the President just how big the
carbon footprint is for our TV broadcast system, since he still wants
to propagate this global warming rubbish in order to justify the need
to reduce the use of carbon based fuels.
The broadcasters WANT the transition to end.
Enough said.
Regards
Craig
