You ave been digging the hole you are in since you joined this list.

The 85% rule was intentionally vague and open to interpretation. Just the kind of bureaucratic mumbo-jumbo that the politicians and regulators thrive upon. It was a holding tactic by the broadcasters.

You fail to recognize and acknowledge the reality that the broadcasters agreed to the legislation that set the Feb. 17 hard date. These are the say broadcasters who are now ready to end the transition and start pocketing the ~$20K per month they are spending to run those analog transmitters.

Perhaps someone should point out to the President just how big the carbon footprint is for our TV broadcast system, since he still wants to propagate this global warming rubbish in order to justify the need to reduce the use of carbon based fuels.

The broadcasters WANT the transition to end.

Enough said.
