The new name of the journal is
'Broadcasting AND Cable'.=20
That new name indicates there must be a fundamental difference between =
the two.=20
The publishers must have realized that or they wouldn't have bothered to =

change the name from just=20
'Broadcasting'.

The term is 'broadcast' for anything that can be received by anyone for =

free.=3D20

Let the folks who charge money for either a subscription to a program or =

to rent or buy a special receiver for that program come up with their =
=3D
own terminology.

Can someone give a word that describes a transmission for free =3D
over-the-air
television?  It sounds like the word "broadcast" should not be used.
