Cloud media services and media services built on cloud technology are
two very different things.

The former is operating on real hardware they own in real locations,
the latter on virtual hardware provided by a 3rd party. There are many
'CDN's these days using the latter. They can't scale, are usually VC
funded, and definitely can't provide most of the features you list (it
just isn't possible).

As for not betting against cloud media services, you're right.
Internet video is booming, even in this downturn in the economy. I
can't say the same for the OTA/traditional video products that I was
working on before (you can only do so much with one-way data
delivery).

Cheers
