Do yourself a favor. Study this:

and pay particular attention to Figures 1-3.
Remember that the "tuner" they show in the block diagrams comes
in all-standards formats from several manufacturers.
Also, do not forget that the Euro DVB-T implementation excludes
HDTV, which is what causes almost all the differences. So
compare the Chinese and US HDTV diagrams carefully.
