If you are referring to what we see here as "The Discovery Channel" it
is for us unfortunately one of the better ones.
This channel deals with scientific and technical subject matter
presenting it in a sort of mini documentary style.
History Channel is also pretty good, but the types of programs I
personally don't watch are the game shows,
the cop and car chase shows, the soap operas, the talk shows, and the
shopping and infomercial channels.
What does that leave? The news (some spattered with blood), Nascar on
the Speed Channel for racing fans, and
such channels as CSPAN which covers the daily shenanigans of the U.S
Congress, The Learning Channel, Nasa
which covers the U.S space program, but for me my absolute favorite is a
channel I installed and 8 foot C band
dish in the back yard for: Classic Arts Showcase. It runs back to back
classical music, arts and film segments with no
commercials. Ever. I am a network programmer's nightmare. I would skew
the results of any program survey I took part in.
What sort of programs do you get?
