Like what we are doing today is not wasteful of the broadcast spectrum? We waste half the spectrum right off the top because of our inefficient big stick infrastructure. Then we fill up all of the off hours with infomercials and other crap. Somehow I think that an efficient DTV infrastructure might find some room to send a few targeted messages...
