In the effects section there are three slots which (presumably) are
implemented one after the other. In each of these slots you can have any one
of 8 effects. The only one of these that *doesn't* have a Wet/Dry control is EQ.

Wet/Dry can relate directly to depth, so for example if you have reverb in the
first slot but set it fully 'Dry' I would envision being able to gradually
increase the depth (wetness) to increase the ambience as a track plays, and
then reduce it again where you want some detail that would get 'smudged' by too
much reverb.

It doesn't make sense to give the effects fully independent controllers as you
will only ever use a maximum of 3 per part, so if you change controller 91 it
should be mapped to whatever effect is currently in slot number 1.

Taking this a bit further.
If you have MIDI track 1 connected to part 1 with effect 1 being reverb and
MIDI track 2 connected to part 5 effect 1 being phaser, adjusting contoller 93
on track 1 with change part 1 reverb depth but the same controller number on
MIDI track 2 would change part 5 phaser depth.

And all this variation is achieved with only 3 controller numbers!

See what I mean?

Yes I do, a real nice hypothesis very well explained! As a once well known
character that probably only people of our vintage would recall used to say,
"Righto Chief, I'll get on it right away!".

cheers.
