My goodness, a company for the blind world that acts like a mainstream
software company, how dam refreshing.

I constantly feel like I have to beg FS to have my activation keys re-set,
it's so annoying.

Just because I change pc's a lot, at home and on occasions at work, it's yet
another on line request to ask them to re-set it, along with an explanation
as to why.

Recently, they have only put my count back to one, rather than the three,
which is the norm, which they say is due to me having it re-set so many
times over the years.

I really hate the process.

Hi,

There is no physical copy protection, so they trust you to not abuse it.
You can therefore, install Window-Eyes on multiple PCs and won't get any
annoying deactivation crap.

Hi all

I won't bore you with my rant about having to keep asking for my dam jaws
keys to be re-setby FS, as it's long.

What I wanted to know, is how window eyes is activated and or authorised.

Is it the same annoying method that FS use, or a sensible mainstream method,
i.e. you are provided with a serial number, and can install it on your own
pc as many times as you choose.

Hi Andy

For the moment I'm only using the Scandisk Clip+ for a trial period. I don't
think this device has any more than track ability available. If I get on
well with using extra books I am considering the Victor Reader Stream.

If you are using a victor stream or perhaps a booksense, you can rewind by 1
minute or 5 or 10 and even up to 30 on the stream, not sure about the
booksense, how would this work on the plextalk pocket I wonder?

Hi All

I've just joined the Audible UK book library and have just downloaded my
first book. Quite a long one at 32 hours and only in 4 parts. This means if
I need to go back over ground already read I can only do so by going back to
the start of the current track which are around 8 hours long. It would be
just great to break these down into smaller tracks but the file format is
.aa which I understand is Audible's encrypted system which is not breakable
by any software available.

If this is correct does anyone know of a solution to my problem, please.
