---------------Hi malaina, well I don't know what you installed GPS 2010 on, but I just put it on a VoiceNote Mpower and an Apex and both went very smoothly. I uninstalled GPS 6 and did a hard reset, think it was dots 4 5 6 on the BT for both units, Then did a soft reset and got both units upgraded to GPS 2010. Have done some experimenting with the new route commands avoiding highways and fastest or shortest vehicle routes. Very interesting and welcome additions to the program.
Best of luck, I am sure you will get it figured out. Jim

I will call tomorrow. it wouldn't give me the option to set explore. The action was always aborted before it gave me the option to set as explore or destination. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Grabowski" <chris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Because the file gpstalk.pll is copied to the keysoft system disk
during installation. It overwrites the one burned into ROM. This is why
the system files need updating prompt comes up.

When you do a 4-5-6 reset your keysoft system disk is cleared putting
the old gpstalk.pll file back into ROM. When you reset the file called
gpstalk.pll is copied from the windows folder on your flash disk back to
the keysoft system disk. This is why the system files need updating
prompt comes up.

If it happens twice, escape out of the prompt and then start navigation.

To set an address as a virtual position do an address lookup by pressing
space with S read with S, fill out the prompt and at the address action
menu choose explore position.
In your windows folder on your flash disk see if there is a file called
GPStalk.pll and check the date of that file.

The problem I am having is that the memory when gps is uninstalled is at 96 percent forthe keysoft disk and then it goes to 95 in addition to getting the message stem files have been updated do a reset. Each time I have gone through this I can asure you I have never had the message system file need updating. If I can't get this problem resolved do you have any idea why I can set a virtual posistion by typingan address? I am just trying to figure
this out I don't mean to be difficult.
