I tried a normal reset after uninstalling the software. Then I reinstalled it and I did the normal reset after installing the program and I still get the system files have been updated message. After instlaling the program the keysoft system disk is back at 95 percent. I don't think this is normal. I had this problem with version 6.2 but just delt with it. I don't know what to do now though. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles LaPierre" <charles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Malaina, Umm interesting, probably something I wrote a while ago. A normal reset should be fine, lets try a normal one first and see what happens. Thanks. Charles M. Best idea is to do a 123 reset then run the uninstaller. Then do a normal reset. This should break the cycle of system files have been updated. Then you can install GPS 2010. Hope this helps. When receiving this message I forgot to state earlier that it still prompts me to do a reset. The resets are not making the message disappear. When I go into support information mode the keysoft system disk free space is 95 percent instead of 96 percent. When it was at 96 percent I have had the message to do a reset after just performed one. Also my question regarding the error message when trying to set my virtual position was not fixed. I have tried other addresses and although I am not getting the exception error the look up is being aborted. The only other thing I can think of to do is to redownload my state map. I am at a loss.Malaina----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Grabowski" <chris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <gps-talkusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, April 29, 2010 4:17 AM Subject: [gps-talkusers] Re: A couple of difficulties with version 2010Hi, Do a J-K-L reset, do a S-D-F reset, install 2010 then reset. It is possible you will get the message system files need updating and to press reset, that is normal just do the plane reset with no keys held down and everything should be fine. My next problem is when I tried to set my position to my house address I receivean exception: 50037 at 20120. data misalignment error. Then My unit freezes and I have to do another reset. I only get this error when typing in my address. I didn't get the error when using a poi I created that is near my house. The message I receive after a reset is only after a j k l reset.
