My Few Cents..
[1] Name : FOSS Conference 2008 @ Chennai.
Simple as of now and we can change the year and place next year
provided we are going to move over to Tier 2 cities.
[2] As Vamsee said, Localization can be a track or sub-conference
under this main-conference and we can have a localized name for it.
This will also enable other enthusiastic groups to have their own sub
conferences, such as ChennaiPy group.
[3] As Raman said this is the first time that we are organizing such a
big event. Though we have very good experience in organizing things
like LDD and workshops, conferences are really different. Hence we may
miss some points and we may over look certain things. Bringing it to
our focus will help us in correcting them :)
We expect all our members to offer a supporting hand and help us make
this a success, but still constructive criticisms are welcomed please
forbid from growing the thread and digressing too much.
@Bharathi,
Please close this "name hunt" soon so we can proceed discussing other
things. Else this is getting into a tail with no end. :)
