I need to receive alerts/pages on handheld device
(cellphones/pagers/blackberry)
I have been exploring various options to do the same,
Here are some,
1. Pagers - they are very rare in chennai, so are expensive than other
options.
2. GPRS - can anyone suggest me some application which sends
alerts/beeps when I receive an email. ?
I have used nokia cell phone with symbion os + gmail mobile app for
receiving emails, but that doesnt give sms like alerts.
3. Blackberry - seems liek a good option, but is expensive than the
rest.( phone + 899 subscription charges per month)
If anyone is doing sysadmin job, they might have an idea about these
kind of things.
