[opendtv] FCC irrelevent??

This Eben Moglen sounds like a true anarchist and foe of private ownership
of property!  Not all that atypical of the academic community.
Even with modern technology like spread spectrum there are limits on how
many sources can share a band of frequencies.  Sounds like his idea is to
eliminate mass media.  No more slick expensive productions like West Wing,
CIS or ER.  TV for the masses!  How nice it would be to watch TV shows
produced by neighborhood teen nurds from their garages instead. Still,  he
may have a point, what with all those low-budget reality shows hitting the
airwaves.  By the way, I imagine papers he has published are copyrighted.  I
wonder if he encourages free and open copying  and distribution of his hard
work.
