Flor,

I think that they are now called the BCI, the Broadcasting Commission of
Ireland. You know the drill though, they'll probably change it again.

Tony,

The broadcasting Authority (or whatever they call themselves now" have a
list of bidders, from which they chose Boxer. So they will now pass the
tender on to the next in line, which is a consortium of three companies
that
includes Setanta TV, in hopes that they are still interested. I've no
doubt
that there are more details in RTÉ News and in the on-line editions of the
news publications. According to what I heard (John gormely/Eamonn Ryan)
the
rollout will still go ahead, though a little later. At any rate, to comply

with EU rulings, analogue television will have to be switched off by 2012.

Hi All,

Wonder if any of you have anny thoughts on the today's announcement that
Boxer have opted out of DTT?

You will find podcasts on Morning Ireland, News at 1 and am sure others.

Would be good to hear from you on this!

Is DTT now dead in the water?

Tony
