Hi Ray, We have a PC in the living room, and it is our complete Media Centre. We play DVDS, CDS, MP3, and most other kinds of media on it. It saves having a separate DVD player, CD player, Video Recorder, etc. Because of Nebula, we can record accessibly, as you can with this stand-alone Media Centre, but we do get pictures. This means I can burn DVDs for my sister and parents, if I want to. Finally, it is networked wirelessly to our PCs upstairs, so I have about 300gb of storage available to it, which means I can store my complete CD collection in one place. Now that you can buy quiet PCs, or even a laptop, which I use in the living room, a PC doesn't have to stick out like a sore thumb, where furniture is concerned. I personally think a PC is the best Media Centre there is, even if you don't have the Media Centre version of Windows. All the best -- Computer Room Services: the long cane for blind computer users. Mine is up here in a converted bedroom and I would prefer to sit with my wide downstairs!
