Well, at least Sandra's confirmed I'm not in error about what's being
discussed. I seem to recall, vaguely, a projected price in the £400-500
mark.It would appear the thing has been a longish time in development so just
maybe it'll be more now if Portset is looking to recoup development cost.

Having done all this work maybe all the more reason to bring on a full TV box
version to increase sales. After all, the most difficult bit has been done,
I.e. getting digital text to talk. Hope there's an audio description facility
in there too, which would obviously make it all the more saleable. Yes, I know
so very little TV is audio described yet - as pointed out last week in In
Touch. We're a very way behind subtitling accommodation.

I also know, before anyone points it out to me, that if the Portset box was,
err, ported to a full Freeview Box, it would no doubt carry VAT. Fine, I would
be prepared for that if the basic price looked OK. Wonder how long we'll have
to wait to know how much?

Hi
For some reason, everyone seems to be keeping very quiet about the price of
this hing. It's almost the first link on the Portset website but here
again, no mention of price. Maybe we'll find out at Sight Village this
year?
Cheers,
Sandra.
