If you are referencing to the difference between masks and respirators?
In which case, I of course meant respirators :) - commonly enough,
though perhaps technically incorrectly, called masks.
I keep hearing that there is no benefit - if it is true then why do
doctors etc use respirators? Why didn't all the doctors and nurses
treating ebola patients get ebola?
N-95 masks are about £3-£4 each here, FFP3 masks (=~ N-99) about
£10-£15. Supply is limited, but supplies of KN-95 respirators from China
are perhaps actually increasing - the main problem with them is trusting
Chinese quality control, which for non-medical goods can be a bit iffy.
I don't know how tight their medical goods quality enforcement is.
I have been buying some for friends n' family (I already have
anti-virus-suitable chemical ppe for myself - not connected with COVID).
