Gah! I'm not making my point well here. I suspect that integrating a
US built sat, designed in English and EST to PST timezones, is easier
when working with a launcher provider who is also based +- a few
timezones from you. It's hard enough working with people in the same
building, but now put them 12+ hours out and in a totally different
language...

Interfaces! "Lastenheft, Pflichtenheft" and stick to it.
Assure full coverage.
And do the right thing: overprovide and underdemand.
does Ariane Space do more "foreign" customers than
US based providers of "mass to space" services?

fun story: place I worked as a student "HiWi" had two
main devel sites. In this specific project comms stuff
was done where I worked and the power electronics stuff
done near Munich.
Interfacing between comms and power had been carefully defined.
( the group leads were sure about that. :-)
When everything was finished joining up was not possible.
Our group had assumed TTL level signaling
and the Munich group had done everything in 12V CMOS levels.
Argh!!
