I know I don't sound convincing enough but I am sure I have touched certain
portions of the topic.
One example to the contrary I can think of most definiely is ethereal.
It is so feature rich that I have never bothered to learn tcpdump properly.
And without a network sniffer no crypto/networking programmer of sys adm can
survive.
So this is where a see a GUI being extremely user friendly and easy to use even
for serious programmers.
I hardly think that I would have finished IPsec implementation on time withut
the able assistance of ethereal.
Marvellous piece of software. And it works very well on Windoze too which I am
sure all of you know...
