Dear ILUGC,
I just installed Fedora Core 6, mainly to try out AIGLX + Compiz, and
I must say it works like a charm on my Pentium - 4 3 GHz with 512 MB
RAM (Intel 915 with no extra video card).
As for other features, the installer is very intuitive and easy to
understand. However, during first boot, it asks one question about
SELinux, which could have been avoided esp. keeping new users in mind.
One thing I did not like, was the fact that the installer made no
attempt whatsoever to detect the presence of other operating systems
on my computer (which happens to be Debian GNU/Linux). So, the GRUB
has only Fedora Core. I had to manually add entries for the other
operating systems.
