Hi,
I started a LUG in Sri Ramakrishna Engg College by jan 2005 and still
its a mail list
This is the LUG iam talking about

the strength is around twenties and 50% studs and 50% linux
enthusiasts from outside the college. I wanted to have a formal
inaguration of this LUG in college premises as soon as possible
atleast before sept 10th. For that I wil be confronted by the
following questions by the authorities.
-> wat is the benifit that the stud gets?
-> wat is the benifit that the college gets by having a LUG?
-> why LUG?
and similar other questions and monetary benifits too come before the
authorities. Iam sure that they wont allow if its just going be a
discussion and teaching LUG since they hate to work for free, without
any benifits.
My openions doesnt matter much there, so i need some kind of practical
example in this regard.
I wanted to convince or somehow compromise them to have LUG working
there, so that juniors get benifitted from this and have more
awareness about GNU and Linux.
And i would tell that less than 10% would have known about linux and
related things. Iam talking about students there.
Anyone who would try to help me in this regard, please let me know wat
can be done..
