Almost in all the tutorials, screen / web casts that I've been  
through in my two years of being a ".net guy" (I prefer C#),
I've never seen any of those tutorial guys clicking or dragging and  
dropping something.
Good  programmers seem to favor typing. Be it on Windows or Gnu/Linux.

I urge people to refrain from talking things that they aren't aware

aha - you are a C# guy, you like writing programs rather than point  
and click? Then why are you fighting with me? we are on the same  
side. The OP wanted something 'easy to use' - I told him, forget  
easy, learn the ins and outs. Learn to type and debug. As for C# -  
there is a project called dotgnu which brings C# to the opensource  
world. Please check it out. Among other attractions, one of the lead  
developers of dotgnu is our very own V Gopal, who, in my opinion, is  
India's leading Open Source hacker.
