I think you have misunderstood - only those students that are fit for
nothing else will become staff. And they will not know foss.
I forgot to add, there are those rare people for whom teaching is a
vocation - if they can be identified, they are worth teaching. I have
only come across about 10-15 of these people in the last 6 years. And
actually they do not need to be taught at all - they learn by
themselves.
