hmmm, well, I don't think the rewrite can be 10.7 though,
as that's currently the latest release so far as I was aware?
But I'm still kinda keen to learn where Don and Chris procured this very
useful titbit of apple info!
John, may I ask you also, would you feel up to
telling us all a bit more about that pesky iTunes store window? and if you
have any ideas as to why jfw seems to have so much problems relating to it?
and perhaps specifically, if you'd care to go into the gory details,
re why you feel you've had so little luck, messing with it in scripting
land?
I just Thought telling about your pokings and proddings, might help us all
out here, learn a bit more of the processes of the sorts of specific
problems you've noticed, and perhaps first how you've maybe puzzled out in
your head, what solution path you might even try, to solve, x, problem? and
then maybe, if you felt reeeally inspired, :) what specific coding
mechanisms you perhaps employed to go about implementing that thought
solution?
If you feel like putting your scripter teaching hat on that is? <grin.>
I know that some time back, in an effort to get to the heart of this
incredibly long wait/sluggishness time with the iTunes store,
As I was servicing a client with a netbook with a reeeally pretty slow
processor , and it was posing some pretty substantial annoyances for her,
I tried replacing the
refresh ()
Function, which as you know refreshes the whole jolly screen, with,
;RefreshWindow (hWndFocus)
referring to the "iTunesWebViewControl" window class,
And also trying the
;MSAARefresh ()
Function, but I couldn't get any joy/change at all using those.
I forget now exactly what happened when I tried those, but I do remember it
didn't seem to help, and I went back to leaving in their refresh whole
screen function, as was.
