From the writeup, it sounds like each one of these four new DVDRs has
two ATSC receivers built in. These would make great STBs.

If the price delta is as you say, between $40 and $60 premium over the
previous NTSC-only ones, then the price delta caused by one ATSC
receiver could potentially be as low as $20 to $30. Although I don't
know that all components of two receivers are needed here.

Back in the day of the RCA DTC-100, the first sub-$1000 STB which was
going for some $585 or so, I had predicted that by two weeks ago, the
price delta caused by ATSC integrated receivers should be on the order
of $35. This was among the predictions of "hundreds of dollars premium"
from the loud and peristent pessimists.
