...and what if you get Weaponskill in Short Sword in Book 1, but can't find one until Shadow on the Sand? The Kai Weapon already gives a +5CS bonus, and you get to pick an extra Weapon to be skilled in for each subsequent NO adventure, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I don't see why this should be changed (and if we do, let's change the random nature of Weaponskill in the Kai books as well).
