I'm not sure that the Broadsword isn't "listed in the Equipment
section" since it's in the Kai Weapon section which seems to be a part
of the Equipment section.
And furthermore, when we get to choose a new weapon in the next book,
are we still limited to those in the Equipment section? Unless I
counted wrong, we start to run out of new choices somewhere around
Vampirium.
In any case, this appears to be a change in the rules (or an omission
of a weapons list in the Equipment section) and we should provide some
guidance.
