Yes, as much as I'd love Microsoft to do something much bigger and better put together than narrator, I doubt that they will. I just can't see what's in it for them. We can keep going on about comparing it to IOS, but I doubt that that it makes much difference to Microsoft. Would it be realistic to expect a good built in screenreader? Of course. Is it realistic to expect it in this day and age especially considering progress of mainstream access solutions included in IOS and Android? Of course.
