Always use $insert_favorite_distro would be inappropriate here. Just 
advising people to use a live cd would indeed be good idea.


        You should not get so thin skinned about your favorite
 distribution that you start attacking people  offering diagnostic help.

I don't believe the point here was use of live cd but the nature of 
advocacy in LUG's which tend to revolve around specific distributions 
rather than promoting Free software.
