I have noticed hanging of keyboard+mouse some times when X starts in
redhat based distro. Please check if keyboard works fine in single
user mode. If it works post the following details to debug
1.Details of mouse,video card chipset, monitor details
2.post xorg.conf file
3.If possible look at xorg log in /var/log and post the errors
