Since many OTA broadcasters go off the air at night, I would hope that the in-use channel detecting would be an ongoing process for the Wi-Fi devices. Just as Burger King, McDonalds, and Wendy's always cluster together, more OTA competition would almost always be better for broadcasters in general. With USDTV and others on the horizon, more OTA capacity is going to be in demand.
